Life goes by quickly. Currently, we are living and enduring the COVID-19 epidemic. Our lives and livelihoods have been interrupted. We are all trying to remain safe and healthy.
The stock market has become extremely volatile and term short interest rates are near zero. Savers are getting punished once again.
The Federal Reserve Bank and U.S. Treasury are in a panic mode to steady the economy as government has shut it down temporarily to stop the spread of the deathly virus.
I had not posted for awhile but much has occurred in my life and that of my family. I will mention some things now but will elaborate at another time.
For example, I sold an investment property in 2018 and did a 1031 exchange into new properties which was completed in 2019. My beloved Mother was ill in 2019 and passed in November 2019.
We had to deal with doctors, hospitals, nursing homes, home caregivers, long term care insurance administration, hospice and funeral arrangements. Mostly an unpleasant experience.
Now I am involved with living trust administration and settling my Mother’s estate during this chaotic and unsettling time. This is equivalent to a new job.
Right now it is very difficult to do business as many people are not working, working from home, and afraid of contracting the COVID-19 virus.
My message to all of you is to stay safe and healthy, and remember ‘this too shall pass’. More to come later.
